Thumbs up to Taylor for puttin on some of the best shows that Sarnia has seen in a long time!..Last Wednesday (May 26) a show went down at the Trinity Lounge featuring... The Reason Why, SRB, The Video Dead, and headliner 21st Impact. Unfortunatly Jersey dropped out, or so I heard.Sorry for my false adverising...haha. Although it was a Wednesday, the crowds were good...maybe not as good as a Friday, but those who didn't have to be in bed by 9pm were there! The Swedish band, who spoke French...(or was it swedish?!) 21st Impact was crazy!! And their accents only made everything more fun. Derek was looking for a power bar...so I told him to ask them for a power var... haha Wow, I'm not funny! Well I thought it was... but im easily amused. Yea, so hopefully Taylor will keep throwing shows. And hopefully Wagner will keep throwing after parties with the bands..and the summer will be marvolus.. Check ya later.

Note: The guestbook is up and running again, so take a few minutes and sign'er.
Saturday April 30th at the KofC Hall was awesome... if you were there you may have noticed the abundance of people. Many who never go to shows...so we've got some new come'rs. Thats great!! There was an awesome mix of style...some ska, emo, pure punk rock & triprock! Something for everyone I'd guess you'd say.
Well as you might be able to tell lately, im getting sick of writing up reviews... so hopefully you dont mind that I dont do one up for every show anymore. If anyone else wants to write up one.. for fun, or for publicity purposes, feel free to send it to me via e-mail, and I'll post it.

Amazing...is all I can say for the show Taylor put on at The Trinity Lounge on February 21. Being an old strip club, this place is perfect for shows...with a stage, tonnes of semi-circle seating, and nice floor space for moshing. Although this was a first for the Trinity to hold a punk show, everyone had an awesome time, and the bands were great. The set included Over the Top, Heathen Ruckus, The Reason Why, Good to Go, The Video Dead, and SRB. As well as having an overall awesome show, there was an awesome crowd of people, who were out to have some good fun. If you wern't there for the February 21 show, definitly be there for Taylors next show!
And make sure you bring your change to buy some merch. The Reason Why has Cds and buttons, and I'm always at the shows with my Mescaline Cds, Tongue Rings, Belly Rings, and jellybraclets!
And if Im not lazy, I am going to start an online store, and sell SarniaPunk merch online. We'll see...
Were you at the underground show on January 31st?
Courtney threw a killer show featuring The Suits, Chem Valley Mutants, 69 Cent Buritto, and The Reason Why.
We collected lots of donations to get a new hall! Thanks tonnes to everyone who donated. And thanks to the person who donated the RiceCrispySquare. Dave Quinn and Bill Riley were hungry, and very thrilled to eat it (Where ever it came from)!! Hopefully we will be able to continue having shows underground!! Everybody played amazing. The Suits from St.Thomas made the trip down to Sarnia, and played awesome! Some may have noticed that The Reason Why recruited a new guitarist named Andrew, and we love him for being able to play with only 3 practices!! He was amazing. Good show everyone, thanks for commin out!
On Saturday,November 8, 2003@ the Knights of Columbus Hall
The Reason Why, Chem Valley, 69 Cent Buritto, Corpes F*cker, Over the Top, Soldeputter, Heathen Ruckus, & more all hit the stage. There was an awesome turnout that night, tonnes of people, and some new bands to add. We hurd lots of cowbell thanks to Bill Riley, the drummer from The Reason Why (Bill loves his cowbell). Some new group hit the stage and were pretty good...don't know the name of um' though.. they didnt say a word. If anybody knows it, it would be nice if you could email it to me! Shoutouts to my good old friend Adam Stewardson from Over the Top...sweet ska boys! I havent much else to say, but keep your negitive comments to yourself at shows, nobody needs that BS after working so hard to be up there. The next person to boo at a show will cause a guitar off and we'll see who's talented then..oh yes!

On October 4th, at the Sarnia Portugese Club
Good to Go, SRB (somewhat), The Fullblast, Summer Hero, Resistance, Video Dead, and Silverstein played for an awesome turnout of about 200 people (im totally guessin #'s).Crammed into this tiny little hall, people were face to face with some of their favorite singers. People recognised Silverstein, as they had played in Sarnia last year at St.FX. and everybody stood upfront. The Fullblast hit the stage just minutes before Silverstein. Being one of the nicest groups to ever hit the scene, The Fullblast awed people with their talent! (if you didnt know, they hit the sarnia scene in July when the opened for the FooFighters). Resistance came all the way from friggin Manitoba to play in Sarnia. Their lead singer had a very pretty, yet strong voice (being a girl and all)... Summer Hero and Video Dead were new to me, but they also did an awesome job, mixed with a little too much alcohol. Lastly, I'd like to clear my mind and say that I do like new people out in the scene... and i know being punk is about gaping the divisions, yet standing alone with your opinions..but if you're a snobby ass popularity infatuated girl or guy, get the hell out. We don't need your looks, glares, and comments in our own turf. (thanks-sorry but i was dying to get that out of my system).
The K of C show with The Reason Why, 69 Cent Buritto, Over the Top, and others went down Sept 27. Everyone there skanking and moshing and having a riot (thats what the punk scenes all about)... 69 Cent played the songs that everyone knows and loves... Over the Top stunned people with the little brother of Brad Weed of Good to Go on guitar! The Reason Why went out with a bang 1/2 way through their set when Mitchy broke 2 strings at once, and Nate broke his finger (both in the same song).
Pictures are on their way, and will be posted soon. Keep skankin.
September 25- No Use For A Name played along with BigWig and Irish Car Bomb, and Useless ID @ Call the Office in London. The show started on time, to a full house. Irish Car Bomb from Florida, and Useless ID from Montreal busted out with some new tunes to the area, and the crowd reaction was a good one. Big Wig and No Use both played amazing sets, sucking hundreds into "squish pits" as Bill Riley likes to call them. Some how people like to refer to this type of moshing as "jumping" but it seemed more like humping to me. Check out the dates for the next Call the Office show on the dates page, and head down to London in your Chevette.
Augest 26- STRUNG OUT played along with 18 Visions, A Static Lullaby & The Getaway @ Call the Office in London. It was a crazy show...arnt they all? The Getaway, from Toronto Ont. hit the stage first. (They played Bayfest 2003, opening for SUM41). A Static Lullaby also put on a kicker show. Alot of people knew them well, so the crowd went nuts. As 18 Visions played Derek, Dylan, Andrew and I walked around talking to The Getaway, and A Static Lullaby. They were all right tanked, but very talkative at that. Ran into a girl from the chick-punk band Kittie, when she stepped on my foot pretty hard, and i swore at her (ha thats how we met). All in fun. Until Next time.
Augest 16- The Bouncing Souls played in London along with Hot Water Music , Worthless United & The Forgotten. The show sold out to a crazy punk crowd. The mosh pits were nuts, and good ol' Kevin Buckle got to go up and sing with his favorite band the Bouncing Souls. Derek and I stood face to face with the guitarist from The Forgotten, who also plays with the Transplants!& I came home with more free merch than I had bought!
1/2 of the people @ the show were from Sarnia. We have such a strong punk community!
Warped Tour 03- Barry Stop
Warped Tour was crazy as ever this year, headlining bands such as The Used, Rancid, Mad Caddies, The Starting Line, & Me First And The Gimme Gimmies. It poured rain from 11 until 3:30 in the afternoon, creating a big sloppy mud puddle that was Molson Park. Everybody was soaking wet, only wondering into mosh pits if looking to make their wet clothes muddy (I almost destroyed my Chucks!) Everyone was out and about. I stopped to talk to Roger, the bassist from Less Than Jake & spotted a few other celebrities. Also Derek and I ran into Wade from Alexisonfire....(sneaky Wade tried to cut his way in line with us)and we also saw the guitarist from Silverstein who was loud to shout his respects so Sarnians. "We'll be back"he said. Also, on the way up to Barry we shot up the punk rock symbol as we sped past Big Wig!! Unfourtunatly 2003 is that final year that Molson Park will sport Warped Tour. Edgefest will end Molson Parks history of concerts. Get pumped for Warped Tour 04'! Rock on!
On July 30 a huge show went down in London. With Alexisonfire headlining, & with Jude the Obscure, This Day Forward, BlueSkiesAtWar and some local London bands following, a kickass show was put on for about 350 people at the legendary Embassy. With this being the final stop on AOF summer tour, they'll be taking a short eight day vacation, and will begin touring again in Augest. The boys of AOF seemed to wonder around mindlessly at the show, on only a couple hours sleep, but they did an awesome job. Some new pics from that show will be posted shortly, so keep checkin in. Watch Much Music for their new video "Counterparts and Number them". Alexisonfire will make a pitstop in Sarnia in late September, followed by other bands such as BoysNightOut, The FullBlast & A Static Lullaby.
